Draft rules
The team:
SLC is played by teams. Teams are run by team managers and consist of players.
In order to assure integrity, competitiveness as well as fairness of the league teams will have limited resources for purchasing of players.
Players are traded and purchased by teams using "SLC Coins" before and during a SLC season. SLC coin (Further just "coin") is a fictional currency made and used exclusively by SLC teams in SLC.
Players:
Player's value depends on the player's highest and current solo-queue rank. In case if a player's current rank is in the same category as the player's highest rank, their value is as seen below.
In case if a player's highest rank is in a different category than their current rank, their value is one category lower.
Example: A player used to be diamond in season 4 (6 coins). Currently the player is silver (2 coins). Player's value for SLC will be platinum (4 coins).
Note: During SLC the value of players may change.
Values:
Challenger: 12 Coins
Grandmaster: 9 Coins
Master: 8 Coins
Diamond: 6 Coins
Platinum: 4 Coins
Gold: 3 Coins
Silver: 2 Coins
Bronze or lower: 1 Coin
Team's size and allowance:
After the draft and during the season, the number of players should be divided evenly between the teams. At no point should a team have more than ceil(NP/NT) players or less than floor(NP/NT) players.
Before the season starts, each team gains starting funds following this formula:
Team's allowance = ceil(TV/NT*1.2)
TV: Total value of all players participating in the season
NT: Number of teams participating in the season
NP: Total number of players participating in the season
ceil(): rounding up function.
floor(): rounding down function
mod(): remainder function
The draft:
The draft will be divided into three phases.
In case if at any point a team reaches the maximum number of players, which is ceil(NP/NT) in the beginning of the draft, they immediately stop participating in the draft.
No more than mod(NP/NT) teams can purchase the ceil(NP/NT) players. Once the threshold has been reached, the maximum number of players per team is equal to the floor(NP/NT) players.
First phase:
During the first phase, only part of the team’s allowance will be available to them. Teams will be able to use ceil(TV/NP * 3).
Managers are given a list of players that wish to join their team. Managers can purchase any number of players from this list using their available allowance.
If the team manager is also playing, the team automatically purchases it's manager.
Once no more teams wish or are able to purchase any more players, the draft moves on to the second phase.
Second phase:
Before the draft's second phase starts, the remaining team’s allowance becomes available to them.
Second phase of the draft lasts until all the players have been purchased by a team or passed by all teams.
All the players, that have not been purchased in the first phase, are put in a queue made in a random order.
The first player from the queue is put up for a bid. Managers of each participating team secretly select whether they want to purchase this player for the player's value or they don't.
In case if no team wishes to purchase the player for their value, the player is moved to the auto-assign pool and the bidding process moves on to the next player in the queue.
In case if only one manager decides to purchase the player for their value, the manager does so. Player joins the team and the player's value is deducted from the team's allowance.
In case if more than one manager decides to purchase the player for their value, the bidding moves to the next step.
The managers that wanted to draft the player bid once more.
This time managers can bet any amount of coins between the player's value and 2 * player's value.
In case if one team bids more than the others, the player joins that team and the bid amount is deducted from the team’s allowance.
In case if multiple teams have tied for the highest bid player joins the team that has least players.
In case if bidding teams have the same amount of players, the player joins the team that has more remaining allowance.
In case teams are still tied, the player moves to the end of the queue.
If a player would be moved to the end of the queue more than once, they are moved to the auto-assign pool instead.
After all the player's from the queue have been drafted into teams or moved to the auto-assign pool draft moves to the third phase.
Third phase:
Players in the auto-assign pool get ordered in a new queue starting with the highest value player. In case of ties, tied players are ordered randomly.
In the auto-assign pool if a team is able to purchase the player they are obligated to purchase the player.
In case if multiple teams can purchase the current player, the player joins the team with their preferred captain in. In case if the preferred team is not one of the tied teams, the team with the most left allowance purchases the player. If there is a tie, the team with fewer players purchases it. If there's still a tie, it gets decided randomly.
If during the auto-assign pool bidding no team is able to purchase the current player, all teams gain equal amounts of coins until at least one is able to do so.
Player flow:
Trading
Teams can trade players during the season at any time, however there are a few rules.
*Both trading teams must have played exactly the same amount of matches.
*A player can never be traded for less than their current value.
*Both teams and all traded players have to agree to the trade.
*Trade must be announced on the official information channel.
Example: Team A wants to trade their silver player for team's B gold player. Team B agrees. However the silver player's value is 2 coins, while the gold player's 3 coins.
That means that for trade to be in power, team A has to trade the silver player and 1 more coin.
Trade would not work either, if team A would try to trade two silver players for one gold player, as the value of silver players would be 4 opposed to the value of gold player of 3.
Two silver players could be traded for a gold player and an unranked player, however.
Removal and addition of players:
Players can resign from the season. In case if they do, team's, that the player resigned from, allowance is increased by the resigned player's value and the player may not rejoin the ongoing season.
New players can join during the season. If they do, a new draft is initiated following previous draft rules. However a new draft can be started only when all teams have had exactly the same amount of games played.
There will be no third phase during the mid-season draft. If there is a mid-season draft, it will be held on Sunday of the week, in which the number of games played becomes even.
If a team is not able to purchase any of the players that have signed up for the mid-season draft, the team does not have to participate in the draft.
Balancing:
During the first round robin, after each match the losing team gains one coin.
Footnote:
The goal of these management rules is to manage and balance teams in order to keep the league competitive and interesting for everyone. All this TL;DR is there just to keep the teams as close to even as possible.
In case if a rule or rules are found to be unfair or creating a snowball effect for any of the teams, they can be modified or adjusted by the organizer during the season.
Tournament rules
Communication:
Official information exchange channel is "Sunday Gamers" Discord server channel #SLC. Any agreements or arrangements made, but not announced in the discord channel are not considered valid.
Format:
Double round robin followed by a playoff gauntlet.
There are exactly two matches every week.
Total amount of matches played: 24
Total weeks played: 12 (3 months)
Each game awards the winning team 1 point. If a match is won 2:0 an additional point is awarded to the winner of the match. At the end of the season, the team with the most points is seeded first, the team with second highest points is seeded second and so forth. If two or more teams have an even amount of points, ties are broken by following tiebreakers:
First: Won matches
Second: Won games
Third: Won mutual matches
Fourth: Won mutual games
Fifth: Tiebreaker match
Once the seeding is determined, all the teams enter the playoffs. First match is played between the 4th and 5th seed. Winner of this match advances to the next one, where they play against the 3rd seed. Winner of this match advanced to the next match, where they play against the 2nd seed. Winner of this match advances to the grand finals, where they play against the first seed. Winner of the grand finals is the winner of SLC Season #4.
Match:
During the round robin phase, each match is played until two games are won by one team (Bo3). Each game is played on Summoners Rift in a Tournament Draft format.
The very first time two teams play against each other, side selection is decided by flipping a virtual Polish złoty of nominal 5 at https://www.random.org/coins/ . If it's done by any other coin, coin flip is considered invalid.
The coin flip should be streamed on Sunday Gamers Discord channel in room #Stream. For every round robin game after the first one, the team that lost the previous game gains the side selection.
During all but final gauntlet matches, each match is played in a Bo3. The final gauntlet match is played in a best of 5 format - a team needs to win 3 games out of 5. During the gauntlet, the side selection is given to the higher seeded team for the 1st, 3rd and 5th game. For the 2nd and 4th game the side selection is given to the lower seeded team.
Schedule:
Default day and time, when the match is expected to start, is Tuesday 20:00 for the first match of the week and Wednesday 20:00 for the second.
If both teams that participate in a match agree to change the game time, games can be rescheduled within the same week. If no agreement is reached before Sunday 23:59 of the previous week, the match starts on the default time with as many players as have arrived. (Can be played 5v2, if one team can field 5, but the other only 2).
If one team disagrees to start at the agreed upon time or at default time, if no agreement was made, they concede the match. With agreement of both managers, however, a match can be delayed for up to 30 minutes, but not longer.
In case teams come to an agreement on schedule change, however one of the sides change their minds after Sunday 23:59, match time can't be rescheduled anymore and the same rules apply: Match is played on the arranged time, even if one or both teams can't field 5 players.
Any schedule changes should be done until 23:59 on Sunday of the previous week and all five teams should be informed via the official information channel by tagging all 5 managers in the message.
Only exception, when a game can be rescheduled later than previous Sunday 23:59 is if there are technical difficulties on Riot's side during the scheduled game time and custom games can't be made/played. In such a case, the whole schedule is moved by 1 week. Unless both teams manage to reschedule the match within the same week.
SLC Ethics Commission
Definitions
League / SLC - Sunday League Championship.
Participants - SLC players, SLC casters, Twitch chat commentators, SLC team captains.
Communication channels - Sunday Gamers discord server, Sunday Gamers Twitch streams, in-game, in game-lobby.
Goal of the commission
To maintain respectful and sportsmanlike behavior between SLC participants for the duration of the league, by using the tools available to it.
By participating in SLC the participants agree to act in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner towards all other participants.
How to draw attention to possible misconduct
Any misconduct can be raised to the commission by sending direct messages to any of its members, which in turn they will investigate and take appropriate action.

What counts as misconduct or unsportsmanlike behavior
Communication that is done to willfully influence and harm the other involved party outside of the game or to influence the game outside of its rules.
Attacking a person's race, ethnicity, sexuality, religion and threat of physical harm.
Examples of commission actions to an issue
As a response to unsportsmanlike conduct or disrespectful behavior, the commission is allowed to issue justified league affecting consequences depending on the severity of the issue.
Some examples of such actions:
No action
Warning
Reduced bans for the current / next game / match
Ban for a player / team for the next game / match
Technical loss of a game / match
Ban from the league
The issued consequences can be overruled by a vote of all team captains, except the team captain of the accused player.
The issued penalty can be overruled by the majority of captains within 24 hours from the moment it was issued. In order to overrule the penalty, the majority of captains have to disagree with the penalty. If more than one of the voting captains agrees with the penalty, it is applied.
Captain(s), whose team or team members are the ones pending a penalty, are not allowed to vote on an overrule.
If the decision of the commission gets overruled, the commission has to come up with a new action within 24 hours from the moment of overrule.
